Yup. That slight leaning forward while speaking calmly is what The Look
is all about. /smile/ I've been really relieved to learn that even
though I can't tell for sure if I'm making the direct eye contact that
was a key component of it, as well, when I could see into the person's
eyes, that the posture and the blank stare in the right direction do do
the trick. Saves on all sorts of arguments with people who are simply
trying to bluff and bully. Knowing the law and your own rights is also
very helpful, as you noted. She may have been bluffing, but you weren't
and knew it, and I'm sure that showed. Hm... I wonder if your designer
dog was giving her the GSD look at the same time. I hope she was using
it to tell the flight attendant to sit down and behave herself! /lol/
