[nagdu] NFB policies

All,

I am not Julie, (she's cuter), but I am going to jump in. We always are
welcome to debate policies so long as the debates are conducted in a civil
and cordial manner.

I don't want to speak for Marion, but with a full agenda perhaps y'all could
come to the next NAGDU board meeting to CIVILLY discuss the issue. He may
find to allow discussion on this at our meeting, but I suspect not as the
agendas both days are full.

This is the United States. As a result I will defend anyone's right to be
wrong anytime. I won't take sides on this issue at this time. Suffice it
to say I have seen problems when dogs have been left alone whether at the
NFB or ACB convention. Also, I have seen problems and fights even when
people are in the room. We are responsible for our guides at ALL times.

When discussing the policy please keep this in mind.

Cheryl,

I'm not sure if you're intending to come across this way, but you're making
it sound as if people are not welcome to express their opinions on this
list. Not everyone is going to agree with every policy an organization sets
forth, and many will choose to express their opinions. The last time I
checked, this was not a list where we were spoonfed thoughts and expected to
swallow them without uttering a word of complaint. Saying that a topic is
stupid implies a lack of respect for the people participating in the topic.
I, for one, object to this.

Julie, as list moderator, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on
this. Are we, or, are we not, allowed to express opinions that are not in
agreement with current policies set forth by the NFB?
