Hi,

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying.  Some of the blind individuals I've 
known have been good friends from whom I've learned much but the friendship 
was largely because they were who they were and not because they were blind. 
The fact that they were blind provided some common experience which drew us 
together but the friendship was based on much  more just as the 
relationships with my sighted friends are.   Thanks for expressing it better 
than I did.
