[nagdu] Seeing Eye Class Length Shortened

Hello all!

These were all some very interesting comments on The Seeing Eye's
restructuring of the class time. As a graduate of SE, I am pretty sure this
is something that they've been contemplating for an extended period of time.
The system that we were accustomed too was not the schedule they started
with all those millions of years ago. LOL!

I don't think anyone has to worry about the quality of training because of a
mere two shorter days.

There was someone on the list that had issue with the scheduling of time off
from work. I'm not sure if you are a graduate from there, but SE offers
home training if your work schedule is that difficult to fit with training.
There was a retrain in my class who stayed for a week and had the remainder
of her training at home so she could go to work since she didn't have enough
time to be away. She was able to train at the office and after work.

What we can forget is that these schools have been performing this service
for a very long time and each has a valuable success rate, that we all are
the beneficiaries of.

I'm sure everything will be fine and am glad when I go back it will be the
same great level of training as long as my dedication is equal.

I don't think it is possible to make everyone happy. I, personally, have no
problem with starting on Monday. It would seem odd at first, especially if
they operate in the same format--You get there Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
through the morning they get to know you and do some lectures, Wednesday
afternoon they let you meet your new partner and then they go on doing what
they did before. When I went for that shortened time in 2008, I went on
Saturday and came home on a Tuesday. This way I would go on a Monday and go
home on Thursday. I don't have strong druthers about it really.
