[nagdu] Raising Poodles

Ooooh! Handsome, handsome boy! The breeder I got Mitzi from has (or had)
a blue male that was a silvery smoky blue. I could still see his picture
back then and fell in love! Don't know how old that male was when his
picture was taken, but it was very awesome, especially with that poodle
grin, complete with head tilt. Oh, yeah, he knows how to smile for the
camera. /lol/

That dark smoky blue you describe on Bogart must be amazing. Well, I
love my jet black girl, and people ooh and aah over her thick, shiny
coat. It really gleams, although I've only seen all the glints it throws
off in a couple of digital photos. I don't know if I'll ever be able to
see what color she becomes as she slowly silvers; I do know an
8-year-old small standard poodle that didn't start to silver until 5 or
so, and she's pretty cool looking. Some black poodles do turn a sort of
dingy gray, so I'll just have to wait to find out with Mitzi. /smile/ To
me, she'll always be a poodle shaped black silhouette with no eyes even
though I can feel their power. /lol/

A year later, age 3 and many groomings is now pretty much a beautiful puter colour with some black highlights. I've been told that he is one awesome looking dog (yes by others besides Bogart himself!)
