It's a trade off. The types of canes you can put a roller ball tip on are 
substantially heavier than the NFB cane, and require far more effort to use 
than doing two point touch with a NFB style cane.   Barring some reason to 
the contrary, your wrists should get stronger in time.



The NFB canes are so light, that it should not be an issue.



Another thing, the grip with a NFB cane is different than with other types. 
You sort of hold it in an open hand with your palm facing up. Kind of hard 
to explain.
