Yeah, how would you hold them accountable? I would be a little concerned about their organization, too, especially if they said they had received some of this stuff before and now say not. Is there someone over the person you talked to who could intervene. It probably won't be so hard to get the reference letters sent again; some of the other stuff might be. YIKES!
