Sounds like plenty enough authority to me. I like the video taping solution 
to. However, with someone who would do something like that to you and your 
dog, I would not want to confront them alone.



My plan in your situation would have your son follow you with the video 
camera, catch the person throwing the poppers at you on camera, then double 
back, and ask him to stop, politely of course. I would also video tape the 
conversation with the popper thrower.



What you choose to do with this video is all up to you. However, I would 
show it to the owner of the establishment, with the understanding that if he 
does not fix the problem, the next place the video would show up is on utube 
and you would email the police a link. No one likes bad publicity.
