[nagdu] Removing Harness

Gary,

I tend to take off the harness similarly to what you do. The harness I
am currently using is nylon with a handle that doesn't come off. It
only takes two seconds to take it off and three seconds to put it back
on. Monty really doesn't associate working with the harness, but more
the situation. Basically whenever we are away from home he's in working
mode. When I'm at work, in a hotel, traveling...whatever whether or
not his harness is on or not has no bearing on his behavior. He acts
just the same naked or in harness when we are out. Now at home, he can
be a crazy dog, running through the house, bouncing off the walls,
barking in the back yard...insanity! People who have seen him in public
and in my home often ask if he is the same dog! LOL

My logic is that the odds of surviving a plane incident are pretty low anyways. And, honestly, if we need to get out of the plane quickly I'm sure bogart will find the way and I will be attached to his leash. :) I attach his leash to a seat belt so if I fall asleep, he can't get away. In Canada the airlines must provide a seat space for the dog so I take the aisle and bogart gets the middle seat if there are three seats. He is usually good at not getting in the other persons space but I like it better when the 3rd person is someone I know. :)

We don't have detachable handles yet so if I had that type of harness I might do that. I use the same cab company for my morning trips to work to avoid any hassle. So with this company, getting me from my house, he's not even in harness when they pull up since we are just coming from our morning walk around the block.
