I'm really, really sorry things had to end the way they did. It sounds like you put a lot of effort into trying to make it work, and it's just a shame that it didn't.

As sad as you are, I hope there's a part of you that realizes that you did what you had to do. We depend on our guides to keep us safe, and it doesn't sound like he was capable of doing that. Unfortunately, you were injured because of this.

I can understand why you might not want to go through the experience again. All I can say is to do what you feel is best for you. Please know that good dogs do exist, and it's very possible for you to end up with one.
