No, it does not make it difficult for them to find a chair. Dogs are great 
at generalizing.
JMHO, you really should not tell your guide dog to find something unless 
there is a good chance that what your dog is looking for is actually there. 
Thus, just telling Princess "find the trash" when there is no trash can 
could be a problem as she may become confused and frustrated. I would only 
do this as an absolute last resort, but, if worse comes to worse, you can 
just double bag the droppings and leave them in a kind of out of the way 
place and hope that whoever finds them will throw them away for you. Again, 
I would not do this unless I absolutely had to.
