Hi, Peggy.

I'm sure there are very nice male dogs out there. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to meet them. the ones I've known have been incredibly territorial and aggressive. Plus, many of them are bigger than I am. (Smile) So, I'm just a little nervous. Male guide dogs are a bit of an unknown quantity for me.

I have worked three females and one male and I found my male to be more loving, bonded better, he was an awsome dog!! I had him the longest of all my dogs until he decided he just didn't want to work anymore. Jmo and good luck in class with the new pup!

I know this because I had asked for a female, so one of the trainers contacted me to see if I would be willing to work a male. After she described his personality to me, I decided to try it out. They brought him to meet me, since I only live like twenty minutes from the school. He's very sweet, much smaller than Caroline, and seems like a good worker.
