All,

Lets not get our feathers all messed up here. We all know as seasoned guide
dog handlers that we do not take the harness off of our dogs. And if anyone
here doesn't know that, they should be educated in the laws. But if a
handler wanted to take the harness off while going through security, then
that is their choice. We can all agree that this companies advertisement is
perhaps wrong, but again it is up to a individual handler to decide what to
do with their dog while at security. What you think is right or wrong, might
not be the right or wrong choice for others. Lets be respectful of others.
And remember it's a handlers choice to remove the harness or not to, but we
should be educating on the laws that state we are not required too.

*take a deep breath everyone*

Here's more info about the leash:

*GuideLights* Airport X-Press Leash $15.00
Made with Hand-braided Nylon Strands & without metal parts, this leash will
get your dog through airport security without the hassle of alarms and the
resulting pat-downs and delays caused by metal parts on a conventional
leash. This item is available in 4-color braided nylon strands (thin and
flexible, but strong enough to hold a dog ready to pursue a pack of cats who
have swiped a cherished Nylabone). Leashes are hand-made, approximately 5-6
feet long, and include a ring for a quick conversion to a slip collar to
eliminate the need for a metal chain collar when passing through the
security scanning gate.

I've asked a friend to swing by their booth to get an understanding of the
airport leash concept.
