Yes, GDB does give out gentle leaders. They gave us some instruction on 
using them. I think that they give more training to people who want to use 
them. As I do not actually need one, I did not ask for more training. Part 
of the training with the gentle leader was to use it to direct the dog's 
nose but not to give a correction as it would hurt the dog. Lexia refused to 
use the gentle leader the one time that I thought that she might need it, 
and she did not really need it anyway. I know what a halti is because my 
mother has to use one on our pet dog because our pet dog never learned not 
to strangle herself when just using a collar. Anyway, I wil probably not use 
a halti as it is just one more thing to put on or lose, and I don't really 
need it. The only time that Lexia's head is somewhere that it is not 
supposed to be is when she is distracted, and I have learned other ways to 
tell when she is distracted.
