Hannah,
regardless of where the dog goes to the bathroom, there's still the high probability of Gerrardia (sorry if I'm not spelling it correctly).
Odie prefers grass or a soft surface for relieving, so we stuck with that.
Yes, he'll also use rocks at times if there's no grass.
If he does have to really bad and it's extreme, then he'll go ahead and use the aspault or concreete.
Otherwise, softer surfaces have worked for the best.
Yes, we've deal with times where the grass has been soaking wet and muddy, but dog wipes or wet paper towels end up being a good essential to clean up the paws upon coming in.
You can purchase a mat for your dog to have at the inside of your front door where she can easily step on it and wipe her paws off.
I have a "Wipe Your Paws" mat
for Odie and he enjoys using it to clean off his paws.
As for tips on getting Princess to go on the creete, can't really think of too many or any at this time.
Others may have ideas or suggestions though.
*Smiles*
Bibi
