Cindy,
Again, I will say I agree with both your message concerning making the
sacrifices to advance our civil rights, as well as your decision to notify
the convent you will be bringing your dog. They are two very different
scenarii. Places of public accommodation must allow service dogs and cannot
require identification or advance notification. A convent is a religious
institution not subject to the ADA, so asking permission is acceptable and
wise!
