I wanted to comment at the time but lost track of my time.  LOL  Lyns
post a few days ago on guide Dogs socializing hit it right on the
head.  I agree wholeheartedly with him.  I do ahve blind friends that
my guide Leone and I get on great with and i let her loose and they do
their thing and run and play and fetch balls and toys and pant and
drool and sleep it off and then go at it again.  Leone is cooped up in
the house an only do family and if she were totally alone and never
was around other dogs the distractions would be crazy on the street
when we are working.  the Guide dog should smell and hug with other
dogs now and again.  this is my belief.

I can understand many don't want their dogs to catch fleas and worms
from other dogs as well as diseases but msot guide dogs are well
maintained and taken care of.  At least I can speak for my own.
