Eve and All,
As far as I know, GDb does teach BART. I live in the Bay Area and have seen
many dogs train at the stations. If you get your dog from San Rafael, then
there is a good chance that you will ride BART at least once or twice. If
you get your dog from the Oregon campus, then I'm sure you'll ride Light
Rail or Subway since most of the training is done in Portland.
Paratransit is like Access or Dial Ride. Those are the other two names I've
heard in the past. I'm sure there are more, but it's basically for older
people or people with disabilities who cannot drive. Hope this helps,
Best, hannah

Here is an example of why not to drop names. When I first read post, my
initial response was "Why didn't GDB teach you how to ride BART?"
Duh, just because someone lives or is visiting the Bay Area, does not mean
that they got their dog from GDB. Same goes for other schools or course,
people travel. Well, my brain fart is not the only reason I am writing. I
was wondering what para-transit is. Could someone tell me?
Thanks, Eve
