[nagdu] An introduction

Hi Kristeen!
Welcome to the Nagdu list. It's always good to see a familiar face join the list.
I am sorry to hear that the area you are living in is not pedestrian friendly. I used to live in an area where the street I had to cross frequently was a very dangerous crossing. We usually had to walk a few blocks out of the way to get to where I needed to go. The area I live in now is really pedestrian friendly, lots of sidewalks and places (restaurants, banks, grocery stores) nearby. The only thing is, people drive like maniacs. The street I live on is very high traffic, and it took Pascal a while to get used to walking right next to the traffic. The sidewalk and street are right next to each other, there is no grass between them in any of the areas.

I have been hanging out her for a bit reading posts and getting the feel of things. I thought I'd say hello and introduce myself.

I am Kristeen Hughes and I have a big yellow lab boy named Mendle. He will be six years old in January. He is an absolutely awesome boy and I am not at all prejudice.

I live in Michigan with my partner, Shannon and her adorable little guy, Ace, or as she calls him now, Acelet. I am originally from Michigan, but have lived away from the state since 1994. I have been back since August.

We live in a rather daunting area as far as traffic is concerned. It is not pedestrian-friendly, so we continue to struggle with that issue. Well, that's a bit for now.
