Hahaha, yes. GDB did not yet issue boots when I received Lexia, but they had
them for some of the upcoming classes and let me try them. And, yes... She
pranced like a horse. I guess that dogs just don't like stuff on/around
their heds and feet.

To add to the conversation, I've never used a coat for my dogs in Winnipeg
and at present, The wind chill here is minus 40, which is the same by the
way in both selcius and Fahrenheit.  Mind, I'd not likely spend a lot of
time outdoors in this weather, even though Douglas is currently dogless.

Further, I've never found boots that either breath, or that don't absorb
moisture.  TSI gave me boots (for my dog, also named Boots) and she hated
them.  I do admit the first time we tried then in training, I got the
giggles listening to this little baby horsy pattering beside me.

Usually, once I leave the house, I'm on and off at least one bus.  In
winter, others get on the bus and naturally, there are little puddles on the
floor, not due to cold passengers loosing control, but due to melting snow. 
So, the dog gets on the bus, walks through the puddles with boots picking up
more water than would be with bare feet, gets off and boots freeze very
quickly.  The rest should be obvious.

The real problem to me is that, unlike dogs, I can dress in super winter
clothing and feel quite warm.  Further, our dogs to not live out doors so
that adapting to the cold, though it certainly does happen, may not be as
rapid nor complete as for the outdoor pups.
