Good morning all
Cheryl Echevarria and Maxx here, Nelson my husband bathes Maxx during the warmer months here on Long Island. Maxx is a short haired Black Lab, and I brush him everyday, and haven't had hair or skin problems.
Make sure the dog doesn't get matted though.

I think the times he went to the groomers were almost the only times except for summer once in a while out in the yard with the hose. Fisher is a goldador; I brush him most every day. He and all of the dogs have a groomer who comes by about every three months and washes them and trims where they need to be trimmed, particularly the cockerpoo. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
