Hi Rebecca,
I cross parkways and highways. On the parkway I have to concentrate on one
side at a time. When I get to the medium I stand there and concentrate on
the other side of the traffic flow. I don't cross at the light on this
parkway. Its to dangerous with cars turning. 
I also cross Highways near my job and house . The parkway and Highway come
together at an intersection. I haven't  crossed that highway this year but
we just a few months ago got an Audible Pedestrian Signal there . I work
very hard with others getting this signals put in.
