[nagdu] Private club exemption

Costco and Sams Club are memberships to shop there but you can walk in the
door and tell the door person that you are interested in a membership and
you go to a counter and buy your membership. I used to belong to Sams and I
did have my dog with me when I walked in to buy my membership. I go to
Costco with a friend who has a membership and have never had any access
problems with my dogs.

Yeah, country clubs and other exclusive clubs that get NO government money
at all may be a different story. But then again, who would want to belong
to a private club that hates dogs and would make you leave your dog home?
Not me.

I've said it in the past that many people like dogs and we tend to have more
of a problem with people paying too much attention to our dogs than who
don't want us around at all with the dogs. For me, if my dog isn't welcome,
niether am I. I only leave my dog home ONLY IF I deem the activity to be one
where my dog will be uncomfortable or unsafe - like a very loud, dark,
crowded bar!
