[nagdu] Cold weather

As someone who lives in Minnesota.  I would bring the boots.  We have people around where I live who jog with their dogs and they all have boots on. I pavement is cold, the dogs coat is great, but they need something for their feet.  If you think his coat isn't ready for the cold, you could bring the rain coat, and if you going to be there along time and are going to do a lot out side, you might want to get a coat for him when you get there.  If you can keep their feet warm, that is half the battle.  The pavement will suck the warm right out of their bobby.  It does to us people.

I'm more worried about you than Chase.  Stay inside.  (grin)

You are doing all the right things.  Seriously, stay inside as much as possible.  These dogs are tougher than we give them credit for being.

Best,

Michael Hingson

My guide, Chase, and I are headed to Milwaukee soon.  We live in the moderate climate of the San Francisco Bay Area.  I see highs in MKE ranging around thirty degrees F. What do I need to do to help Chase cope with the cold?  He --of course -- has a fur coat, but I keep it farily short.  He has a rain coat, but I don't know how much warmth it would provide.  He has shoes.

Thanks for your advice.

Craig and Chase.
