I haven't tried the service, but I will say that my vet is very expensive, 
too.  I think it may just be how things are now.
I would love it if my vet were only a few blocks away.  If I found one 
cheaper farther away, I'd factor in the cost of getting there.  I have to 
take a taxi to my vet, and it's about $20 each way.
