[nagdu] OMG the mosquitoes!

So we have had a very dry, humid, hot summer, and up until last week things have been OK (a few mosquitoes, but nothing bad). Unfortunately, in the last week, the little bloodsuckers have been EVERYWHERE!  Even with bug spray, they are eating me alive, and thanks to Jenny girl's propensity to sniff around in the grass, she has what look like at least 8 mosquito bites on her nose!
They don't seem to bother her, but I am concerned about her comfort, if they can get infected, etc.
Does anyone have any mosquito stuff that works well? Or just let the little bumps shrink on their own as they have been?
