[nagdu] {Disarmed} Fw: Can you believe Starbucks did this to a veteran!

This sounds very self-serving to me; a vest or badge proves absolutely nothing. All the Starbuck's employee could ask is what tasks the dog perform to mitigate the person's disability.

I am tired of the service dog movement riding on our coattails; they need to police themselves; nobody would notice, except they often want to be noticed.
Darla & handsome Huck

"You’re not blind….You can’t have your dog in here!"Sounds harsh right? It’s reality. This is exactly what Yancy Baer and his service dog were told recently after entering a Houston Starbucks. He was simply trying to enjoy his morning like anybody else and meet a friend for a cup of coffee. However he found he was a victim of discrimination as a Starbucks worker attempted to force him to prove his disability.
This continues to be a major problem in our society today because there are far too many people just like this Starbucks employee that think only the blind have service dogs. You and I both know this isn’t true of course and it’s exactly why we provide Service Dog and Emotional Support Animal ID’s, Certificates, and Vests. If Yancy had an ID hanging from his service dog he most likely would have been spared the humiliation and embarrassment that came from being called out in the middle of a busy Starbucks. We’re here to prevent anything like this ever happening to you when traveling or just going out into public with your service dog.

Order your Service Dog ID now!
PS- We have a booth down at the National Pet Expo in San Diego this weekend spreading service dog awareness and giving away free dog gear so if you happen to be in the area come on by the Del Mar Fairgrounds and say hello to the team!
