[nagdu] Canidae

When the antibiotics were done? Um, as far as I know, he should have been on
probiotics while taking the antibiotics.
Had you tried the rice and chicken yet when you got the antibiotics? If you
are ever in doubt, you could always try your own remedy and give a little
while before using the medicine. Yes, antibiotics are sometimes necessary,
but, for the reasons that Raven mentioned, they really should not be used if
not needed.
Lexia eats Blue Buffalo. There are several different formulas, including one
for senior dogs. Even though Lexia is eight, she does not eat the senior one
because it is not the one with the lowest fat content. As people have said
before, make a list of what is important for you in a dog food and do some
looking.

Raven, I'm way ahead of you. Ben went on probiotics as soon as the
antibiotics were done.
Sherrill, no, Ben is on ALS. He is a senior dog, but I looked at the
platinum formula, and it just added more grain. I'm not sure that's best.
I've been happy with Cannidae; I'm just not sure it's working for him
anymore, for some reason.
Darryl, thanks to your pointer, I found articles on Cannidae's change in
formula, but it seems to have been in 2011, so I don't think that's my
problem. Good to know when it happened, though.
Buddy, that's exactly my problem. I'm thinking about changing foods, but
there are so many choices.
I think I'll try calling my holistic pet store. They have a dog food
advisor; maybe he has some ideas. Won't hurt to ask.
