[nagdu] Do Dogs Get Lonely?

Hi Larry,
Absolutely, dogs feel lonely when other dogs are absent. They also feel
grief when a pal dies. They feel jealousy and most of the human range of
emotions.

Dogs are pack animals who miss the members of that pack who leave or die.
We and other household animals become our guide dog's pack. My sister had
two dogs, one was hit by a car and ran off to die. My sister had to use the
other dog to track the injured one and they found it dead. The survivor dog
went into such a grief that she almost died herself. With TLC, that dog was
able to live and recover from her grief.
