[nagdu] Other Kinds of Service Dogs

Hi everyone
I thought it would be fun to do a little research on this topic. The only laws I can find regarding other working dogs refer to dogs that work with law enforcement. Laws such as no individual with exception to the handler can come in contact with the dog. 
I compiled a list of 20 different "jobs" dogs do. Some I agree with and others I am not so sure of.

 Service and assistance work 
Therapy 
Search and rescue 
Sled dogs 
Herding 
Mascot 
Hunting
Guarding or watch dog 
Fighting 
Racing
Water rescue 
Truffle sniffing a bread of dogs to help with field work
Detection dogs drugs bombs bedbugs 
Show dogs 
Cadaver detection dogs 
Police work
War dogs
Carting
Rat extermination dogs 
Entertainment 

No matter what we are always going to educate people on the work of service dogs. I think it is important to identify other working dogs but, we need to continue to inform the public of our rights and more importantly our dogs rights. Even when we think the public understands that is not always the safest bet.

But at least in the case of the bedbug sniffer dogs may be much more efficent! If we can clog up the list with all of this fake service dog stuff why not think about the dogs who, like our dogs have relevant jobs to do! After all, a well trained dog is a well trained dog no matter what its job is! Sure, this list is about guide dogs and the issues surrounding them but sometimes dogs that aren't guide dogs often perform amazing and often unthaught of taks. Dogs have been awarded metals for some of those jobs and I'm glad that sometimes are guide dogs get some of that recognition. I had to take my dogs outside for about 10 minutes and her dog was done before that! They went threw the whole house and nothing was detected. I was talking to her about the dogs training and she told me it was at least a couple of months long and was like tha
