[nagdu] Home and Away

I am glad to hear that GDB no longer does the night lectures. It felt like
we had very little down time. Even with more time or if you did in home
training, I still don't think that trying to work, even a little bit, is a
good idea. It is important to be able to focus on your dog, and, when you
are not doing something with your dog, to be able to relax. Also, at least
for me, I find that my mind is distracted if I know that I have to work at
some point.

I've seen some people in class who did the Home and Away. They worked with
an individual trainer as I recall, not with the rest of the class. Then that
trainer came to their home area to work with them the rest of the time. I
could sure see some advantages to it, but it does seem as if it would be
hard to work. I suspect you would operate on an abbreviated work schedule if
you did this.
