I did try and talk to her, explaining that her dog was disturbing 
people.  She said that her dog was trained to be protective and 
that's why it barked.  I said to her, Your dog ate part of 
someone's sandwich, and she did apologize to that person.  But I 
felt a little at a disadvantage.  How do you respond when someone 
says, My dog barks because it's train to be protective.  No, I 
had no authority to kick her out of the hotel, and at the time 
had I actually kicked her out of the meeting I would have been in 
trouble with the leadership of the organization to which I 
belonged.  Notice I said belonged.  I am no longer part of that 
organization.  That's not the reason I left, but when I think 
about it, it was kind of a cumulative effect.    Peace,    Debby
