[nagdu] Pace issues

Hello all,
I have recently noticed a strange issue with my guide. It mostly occurs on the three blocks starting out my route, and the same three blocks going back home. There are a few decent cracks in the sidewalk, but it's not bad. My dog is really slow, and doesn't seem to want to pick up his pace. He is fine once we get to the main street of town usually. I don't know what is going on, but, this evening, my route only consisted of those few blocks, going up to the ice cream shop, then back home. He was really sluggish, and took a lot of encouraging to keep moving. He seems to be feeling well, eating well, and drinking well. During the last couple of days, he has started eating the bushes, or attempting to eat them, on the side of the sidewalk, even with a gentle leader on. There are no dogs around, that I can hear, and he is not giving that signal. Every time I check on where his head is, he seems to be looking slightly to the left, and sometimes he looks downward a little. Does anyone know why this might be? I'm confused and concerned, as he seems hesitant, but I have not fallen on any of those blocks before. And, it used to be that he would just move really quickly down those sidewalks and get to the house just fine, pausing for the cracks, as he knows I'm a bit clumsy. :-) any suggestions would be great.
