[nagdu] GEB Ownership

Hi all,

I am also a GEB graduate twice over. Do I wish their ownership policy
was different? Yes.

The first time I went to Guiding Eyes I didn't even consider ownership
policy in my research. I was 17 years old and didn't really
understand what it meant. I thought the dog was mine even if they
kept the "title" as they call it. And honestly, that is what it
seems. They didn't force follow up visits, check up on me, or
anything like that. They did let me know when they were there at
conventions and helped me oout when I asked for it with training
advice and visits.

When my first dog retired, I decided to go back. They were very
supportive of me and expected me to find a home for her. I chose GEB
again because I like having the trainer support they offer. Their
follow up is fantastic. And honestly, even though there are other
schools that grant ownership policy, those schools do not appeal to me
for other reasons. I do not want a large class size, and I want to
train in lots of different environments, including large cities.

I will do what I can to make my feelings about ownership known to them.
