[nagdu] toys

One of the first thigns BC/Alberta Guide Dogs told me about Jenny was that she LOVED her toys!  She came with a bag full of them - a stuffed pink pig that she sleeps with (apparently the only stuffed toy she hasn't destroyed), a tug rope, tug rings, and a ball we have affectionately dubbed the "duck ball" because when she shakes it it sounds like she's killing a duck.  We have replaced the tug rope once she figured out how to untie the knots, and have added squeaker toys (I think they are called Kong Wubba), and fuzzy squirrels that you put empty water bottles inside.  Unless she is using it, most of the toys will stay in a basket in the living room.  I'm trying to teach her to put them there herself, but she's hit-and-miss with that.

Just typing this... my girl is SPOILED!!!

They don't actually recommend squeaky toys, but I've given them to my last three or four dogs and all the dogs have loved them. They're plush, like a kid's stuff animals, but they have the squeaker in them. You just have to monitor how the dog plays with them because the stuffing and squeaker should not be ingested.
