[nagdu] Fell down

Oh Tracy, sorry to hear this. Ouch definitely.

Funny thing, I fell today too. we were going at speed and went to make a turn onto a cobblestone path in our neighborhood. I have hideously weak ankles too and my left one sort of folded over while the right one did something else in another completely unrelated direction. I’ve learned to fall over the years and swung myself around so as not to do a full face plant. I picked myself up and we went on our way. Roger was concerned and bopped me with his nose but then once he saw we were continuing on, he lost interest in my klutziness.

I’ve noticed over the past few years, like maybe 10 or so, that I can get off balance and fall to the right much more easily. Not sure it’s me or the dogs.

One thing Swap’s trainer taught him, more for fun than anything else as he, the trainer, was learning to use the clicker was to position himself so that the dead center of the handler’s right foot hit the sidewalk craks. This was so awesomely invaluable to me and I never really knew just how much until I didn’t have that. Roger does try, as I did reward him big when my foot did hit those cracks in the beginning but his legs are so short that it’s hard for him to smoothly adjust his stride.

Hope the shiner and ankle heal soon.

Eight stitches above the eye brow where my sunglasses cut in. Nothing broken. Some nice people saw me fall, stopped their car and called 911 for me. Chase just watched me sitting on the ground. He seemed to be waiting for the next command. He did enjoy the ambulance ride though.
