Sorry, but I didn't think it was that mushy at all.  It is the 
dog's responsibility to try and keep their person safe.  Sure, 
people use canes as obviously Richard is.  And yes, dogs have 
eyes, we don't.  Or many of us don't, though some of you have 
some vision.  Anyway, I thought it was a very well-written 
article, and I hope that Mr.  Draper can get some justice.
