Good, well at least you've thought of it. I haven't taken my dog to
convention for years, and now he's retired. I have to confess that my heart
is trying to get me to go get another; my head is saying no no no no no!

It's about 14 hours.  I have a over the shoulder lead so I am physically
connected to my dog at all times and can stop people from feeding/touching
her.  
Thanks for mentioning the feeding thing though, I will look out for that.
