Without exchange of something of consideration no contract can be legally binding.Leader Dogs charges a dolkar, but assumes the recipient has spent at least that much in a vending machine.

I was not aware that schools charged a dollar for contracts. Of course The
Seeing Eye does charge, but I didn't know there were other schools that did.
