[NAGDU] Reserved dog on routes

    Hi, for some reason I missed how long Andy had his dog.  Please note 
that, with all my 3 dogs, it took about 1 year each to be a great team.  2 
Weeks is way too soon to access how the dog is working to what capacity.... 
Please!!!!give him or her a chance.  Andy and Shubert

Andy, you have had this dog home for two weeks. If he falters and you know 
what he needs to do, then encourage him to move forward as others have said. 
If you are uncertain yourself, you might do well to have someone help you 
with it, and don't hesitate to call TSE. I had my first dog for 8 months and 
because of being impatient we never quite bonded. So be patient with him. 
When he is unsure, encourage him and then when he does the thing praise him 
with some considerable gusto. Good Boy, Juno! You did it! You are still 
building as a team. Add in an extra cup of patience.

He stands there and does absolutely nothing sometimes. One street corner 
worries him because of the strange layout it has. To cross this particular 
street, you have to sidestep slightly into parallel traffic. He absolutely 
refuses to cross it on the return. However, he does cross it without a 
problem the first time. I wonder if something about the return trip bothers 
him. Again, he does fine going out, but somewhat falters on the return.

Hi Andy,
Might I suggest that you try a different way home?  I have found that, if, 
to many corrections have been given on a certain route, then, the dog will 
become even more stressed about things.
Try going around the block and walking home thatway.  or, cross the street 
and walk home on the other side.  anything to break up your current cycle.
i also agree with what others have said, you certainly don’t want him to 
become lax about overheads or walking you onto the grass.
I’m not certain what you mean when you say that he takes 3 times to figure 
out what to do at the, up curb?  Doesn’t he just, stop at the curb, and 
then, go forward?
Good luck in figuring out his mind.he sounds like a boy that is really 
trying to watch out for you.
