Hi Jessica.
I hear you.  My last 2 dogs have taken almost 2 years to get into a smooth
working relationship with.  At least 2 years.  So, if you're getting your
girl working well with you after 3 months, well, I'm a bit envious.  Good
luck, and here's hoping things continue to progress.

Hello list,
My last couple of years as a guide dog handler have been rough. I am working
my third dog since 2015. I hoped to be one of those handlers who had smooth
transitions between dogs. That was not to be. I am working my first female
dog and we have had a Struggle since we were matched three months ago. I
until recently thought it was two steps back for every step forward. While
we still have a lot of work to do I am finally able to see measurable
progress! Sorry for the long post but I am overall very proud of my girl.
