I sure hope the medication helps.

My second guide dog, shadow, developed what is called submissive urination.
I almost returned her because of it, but we finally got a handle on the
problem and she did much better. Keep us posted.

Subject: [NAGDU] O A B

I took Krokus to the big vet hospital yesterday to try to resolve his
long-standing urinary issues. They did a lot of tests, which show my boy is
healthy, which is good. The vet thinks Krokus may have a defective nerve in
his bladder, which says the bladder is full when it's not. He says that
would manifest as urgency and dribbles. I've been listening to all the
prostate commercials, when I should have been listening to those for
over-active bladder, I guess.

The vet gave me a prescription for some pills which should resolve the
problem, if that's actually what it is. I started giving them today.

I sure hope they work. Imagine, not having to take the dog out 8 times a
day, not rushing out as fast as I can go, not worrying if I'm at some event
and it goes 3 hours without more than a couple minutes break. Living like I
used to, before Krokus's peeing problems.

Tracy
