I was feeding Canidae for a while, and it was good. Then I decided to go
grain-free, and have been feeding Taste of the Wild. The price is also
reasonable.
Glad you found a food to help your dog thrive.

Subject: [NAGDU] Non-chicken dog food

hello all,

Because my dog has a small corneal lipid deposit, the veterinary
ophthalmologist recommended a food with no poultry, either as protein or
fat. there were very few options at what I consider an affordable price.
For over a year I've been feeding Canidae lamb and rice with very good
results. It contains no poultry ingredients and no legumes, though you
have to be careful how much you feed because it is a very high calorie
food. Even my shepherd, who could never put on weight, gained weight on
this formula. I've adjusted her portions and find that she is absorbing
what she eats very well and her coat is better than ever. It had been a
quite affordable food from Chewy, though the price has gone up some
recently. I hope this is helpful.
