[NFB-Announce] This week's Zoom call--help requested

Dear NFB Hams and others,

We are continuing our Zoom series on 2-way radio, but there is
more to do to get ready for our National convention.  Remember,
Tuesday will be the last day to submit entries in our virtual parade
contest.  The raffle will continue for a couple of weeks.

To contribute to the raffle, call Maryann Migliorelli at
720-284-2318.
(If you read my article in the June edition of the "Braille
Monitor" entitled:
"Of Sleeping Dogs and Prancing Ponies:
It's Time for the NFB to Act on Discrimination Against Blind Hams"
this will make a lot more sense)

(The plan is everyone will be invited to contribute to the raffle,
and anyone may produce an entry in the contest.)

I have submitted my resolution and though it was late,
it seems to have been popular.  Because it was late, it has to
get the support of three members of the resolutions committee.
One supporter is known, one was incorrect, and the third is still
uncertain.

This Tuesday we will be back to radio, beginning with unlicensed
radio (CB, MURS, FRS, and GMRS), including antenna size and
how far one can expect to hear and be heard.

We will not have a meeting during convention.

After convention, we will have a quick introduction to ham radio 
and then move right into the regular curriculum of ham radio
training.  I hope  to get some help from
some of you folks at LCB with your experience teaching radio to
your students.  I may be able to get some locals to help as well,
but they will probably not be experienced teaching blind students,
so I hope you will work together.

Here is the Zoom info, and I hope to hear a bunch of you there.

Anyone is welcome, but I do not know how to address this
invite to "anyone" so I will address it to just a small
portion of "anyone".

There will only be room for 100 participants in each session,
though we may be able to get a host to manage a second and
possibly a third session on days when we need it.
