I found this on the funeral home's website, and thought I would pass it on in case anyone hasn't seen it and would like to know about funeral arrangements.  I'm sure I will see many of you there.

Sheryl D. (Anderson) Gordon
Age 49, of Kalamazoo, formerly of Homer, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born July 28, 1960 in Albion, MI to Dennis E. and L. Lucille (Lagoy) Anderson. She has the distinction of being the first girl born in the Anderson family for over 100 years. She was a 1978 Graduate of Homer High School and was the Valedictorian of her Class. She worked as an X-Ray Technician in Battle Creek for 5 years before losing her sight at age of 25. She went on to receive a Masters Degree in Blind Rehabilitation. She coordinated the Sports Camp Program at WMU and taught several courses in the Department of Blindness and Low Vision Studies. She sat on the Board for the Michigan Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired, the local chapter of the MCBVI called the Kalamazoo Council of the Blind. Sheryl was also part of the Michigan Blind Athletic Association and was a proud member of the 1996 Para-Olympic team in Atlanta. She has lived in Kalamazoo for 16 years moving from Grand Rapids. She was acting Regional Manager and was Assistant West Regional Manager since 1995-1996 for the Michigan Commission for the Blind working with them for 21 years. She was the President of the Downtown Kalamazoo Lions Club in 2001-2002. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kalamazoo and also was affiliated with the Presby-Paws organization from the church. She enjoyed John Denver Music,70-80's Music, gardening, and canning. She had skydiving in her list of things done and also donated her organs for Science upon her death. She is survived by her parents Dennis E and Lucille Anderson of Homer; 3 brothers Jeff (ReNae) Anderson and Dan Anderson, both of Homer; and Steve (Pam) Anderson of Roanoke, Indiana, nieces and nephews Amanda, Leslie, Samantha, Rachel, Hollyn, and Autumn Anderson, Leah, and Jacob Robinson; and her Beloved Seeing Eye Dog Company and Friend, Mike.

Visitation for Family and Friends will be Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 10:00 -11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, 321 W. South Street, Kalamazoo, MI. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 12, at the church with Rev. Kurt J. Kremlick Jr. Officiating. According to her wishes, Cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held in her hometown at 2:00 P.M. on July 11, at Homer Presbyterian Church, 309 S. Sophia St., Homer, MI 49245 with Rev Tim Marvel officiating. Burial of Cremains will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Homer.
