Subject: Commission for the Blind Budget Hearing at the Roundhouse on
Tuesday Afternoon, January 28

The Commission for the Blind will have our budget hearing before the House
Appropriations and Finance Committee (HAFC) on Tuesday, January 28. The
hearing will start at 1:30 PM, and it will be before HAFC Subcommittee B. It
is scheduled in Room 309. The hearing will be at the Roundhouse. We will be
on a docket with other agencies, so it is difficult to know when the
Commission's budget will actually be heard. We should have a better idea on
Monday, and I will send out an update.

The Governor recommended a 13.6% increase in our budget, but the Legislative
Finance Committee (LFC) is only recommending a 3.6% increase. All are
welcome to attend, and a strong showing helps to demonstrate public support.

Thanks,

Greg
