Hello everyone,
The San Juan Chapter will be having a Christmas Raffle event. The drawing of the names will be on December 6, 2025. All the items are handmade from family members of those in our Chapter that were donated for this raffle event.
1st Prize- Woven Navajo Rug titled “Two Grey Hill Design” (30x20 inches)
ChatGPT Description: This rug has a traditional geometric pattern in shades of brown, black, grey, and beige.
2nd Prize- Full-Size Rag Quilt
3rd Prize- A Mondo Bag (10-inch square base, 15 inches tall excluding handles)
Claude Description: decorative bags with Native American-inspired designs featuring beadwork and fringe.
4th Prize- A Mesh Bag (measuring 16 inches high, 13 inches wide, and with a 4 x 16 inch bottom)
5th Prize- A Pair of Native Design earrings
ChatGPT Description: This set of earrings is long and slender. They have a hook at the top for wearing and multiple vertical strands hanging down. The strands appear to be made of small black and white beads arranged in a pattern, with some larger wooden or beige beads interspersed near the top. The overall look is traditional and intricate, with the strands creating a tassel-like effect.
6th Prize- A Pair of Native Design earrings
ChatGPT Description: This set of earrings is rectangular at the top, with a white and black pattern. Below the rectangular section, long gray or silver tassels hang down, giving a fringe-like appearance. These earrings also have hooks at the top for wearing. The rectangular part includes a noticeable symbol or design in black against the white background, and the tassels add length and movement.
These items are great gifts for family or yourself!
Tickets cost $5 each or 5 for $20. The raffle drawing is on 12/06/25. Proceeds support the NFBNM San Juan Chapter.
