Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist
New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NMSBVI) is currently recruiting a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) to assist blind and visually impaired students achieve their greatest level of independence. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or higher, current ACVREP certification, and eligibility for O&M licensure from the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED). This is a full-time, 9-month position working on the Early Childhood Program campus in Albuquerque with students ages 3-6, some of whom have multiple disabilities. Position available for the remainder of the 25-26 school year with a contract renewal for the 26-27 school year. Applications will be accepted until filled.
