Quick correction, I said Boulder. Denver is nice, but Boulder is
better... or so says this Boulderite. And, it is a commonly believed
myth that we are buried in snow all winter. We don't like to let the
secret get out, but the mountains are buried in snow all winter. We on
the front range get snow, which then melts again before the next snow.
It is not unheard of for it to be 50 or 60 in January. Take, for
example, our weather of the last two weeks. We had snow the week
before that of Thanksgiving. By the time we got to Thanksgiving, it
was in the 60's and 70's. It was nice yesterday and today and it's
supposed to start snowing tonight. We are not like the midwest where
they are frozen solid for the winter. But, if you look at summer, we
get weather in the 90's during July, but it's a dry heat, so it's not
miserable like southern heat. Also, because of our altitude and
dryness, we have comparatively few insects and other gross creepy
crawly things as compared to other places. Basically, Colorado is
perfect. That's just my opinion though.
