Mike and Sherry,

I was able to catch the NFB convention stream right through to Thursday
afternoon or so. Seems to be that we've got folks running the stream at the
NFB convention who; though better than last year, still made some stupid
mistakes. For example, cutting the audio at critical moments. I think
another issue too is to obtain a server big enough to support way more
machines listening in than what we have so far. The smartest move the nFB
convention streamers made this year was the use of the .pls file streaming.
That made it more universal. Last year, who ever did the streaming used
Microsoft Silverlight, which, if you will remember, caused problems for
quite a few of us. This year, it was pulling wires and connections at
aquard times. Frankly, I thinkn we need to be more professional about how
we go about this. We are getting better each year; and, hopefully, next
year, we'll get somebody who really knows what they're doing.

In the interest of fairness, however, I think it would be of interest to
hear from those doing the streaming. Perhaps there were issues beyond their
control of which we were unaware and maybe, we would all be bettter off
working with each other to resolve this.

Sincerely,
The Constantly Barefooted Ray!!!
